Everton have joined the race to sign Porto left back Miguel Layun, according to Portuguese news outfit A Bola.
The Mexican is 29, and recently had a spell at Watford in the EFL Championship in 2015.
Layun’s performances have been excellent this past year, and the player is a consistent performer. Layun is mainly a left-back, but has immense all-round qualities such as shooting and free kicks. Very similar to the ageing Leighton Baines.
Evertom have been in need of a left sided defender since the summer, and Layun would surely be a great candidate to have at Everton.
According to HITC, this deal would only cost around £15 million, as he has fallen down the pecking order at Porto, and the player wants to leave.
Everton will have competition though, with Fenerbahce, Alaves, and Deportivo Coruna all vying for his signature
