Everton 4-0 Manchester United

An outstanding ictory in the sun for Everton, with four goals against Manchetser United. But how did the players get on?

Jordan Pickford – 7

Had very little to do all day due to United’s only shot on target coming in the 85th minute but was consistent nonetheless. A brilliant ball into Bernard could’ve materialised into a goal and was accurate in all other distribution all day.

Seamus Coleman – 8

A constant threat down the right-hand side against a struggling Dalot. A couple of quality tackles and clearances boost his rating to an 8, namely a slide on Lukaku and a clearance at the back post.

Kurt Zouma – 8

A dominant performance against Lukaku and didn’t give United’s attack a chance all day. Constantly looked stronger and quicker than the Belgian striker and never looked uncomfortable on the ball.

Michael Keane – 8

Zouma’s partner Keane was equally brilliant in snuffing out any chance of an attack from United. The visitors’ only shot on target came from outside the box in the 85th minute, and that just about says it all.

Lucas Digne – 9

What. A. Signing. Another dominant performance from our Player of the Season which was summed up perfectly by his unbelievable half-volley from outside the box. Simply brilliant from the Frenchman yet again.

Idrissa Gueye – 9

When I say he cut out literally everything today, I mean it. It’s no wonder that the top clubs are calling for our Senegalese international as another dominant performance in the middle of the park cut out any potential attack from United.

Morgan Schneiderlin – 7

Never looked uncomfortable on the ball whilst passing sideways. A quiet performance against his former employers but didn’t really put a foot wrong.

Richarlison – 9

13 goals isn’t bad for a lad that ruined the transfer market is it? Another goal brilliantly taken for the Brazilian and constantly had Dalot worried for his half on the pitch. Struggled with a rib injury and went off on the 51st minute but another showing just proving what a talent this lad is.

Gylfi Sigurdsson – 10

What a game for the Iceman. Registered his 13th for the season with a brilliant strike on the counter and a perfectly weighted ball into Walcott for the Blues’ fourth of the afternoon. Exceptional showing yet again.

Bernard – 8

Our little Brazilian was a danger down the left all day without a goal or assist to show for it. Bernard is so crucial in all of our counter attacks as his pace and skill drives us up the pitch at speed.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 7

A wonderful flick on for Richarlison’s acrobatic finish was Dom’s only goal contribution of the day but another strong performance. Has developed a real knack for bullying centre-backs and today was no different. Just needs the goals to show for all of his hard work now.

SUBS

Theo Walcott – 8

I was definitely one of many screaming at Theo to square it on the counter but a brilliant slotted finish past De Gea sat me back down. Wasn’t always too busy but as many were today, always a danger against a shaky United defence.

Phil Jagielka – n/a

James McCarthy – n/a
