Everton’s new 2022/23 home kit pays homage to the central element of the Club’s famous crest – the iconic Prince Rupert’s Tower.
The home shirt features a heat embossed tower pattern repeated across the whole jersey, contrasting against flashes of white across each side and finished with a white round neck.
For the first time, the traditional four hummel chevrons down the arms are pared back to two, allowing the striking contrast between the embroidered pattern and white side and neck detail to take centre stage.
Together, the embossed pattern and white flashes create an eye-catching visual effect that is further enhanced when seen under the floodlights at Goodison Park – a celebration of the famous atmosphere of night games at The Grand Old Lady.
The back-of-neck is signed-off with famous Prince Rupert’s tower motif, which forms a strong part of Everton’s brand.
Our traditional white shorts are given a new twist, with the two chevrons from the jersey replicated and the hummel logo moving from the front to the back of the right leg, providing a clean, fresh look. The shorts mirror the jersey side panels, via white mesh inserts.
The socks are white, topped with blue detailing, with the two-chevrons continuing on the calf.
The 2022/23 home goalkeeper kit is emerald green and black, featuring an eye-catching graphic inspired by the Blues’ Toffees nickname and the tradition of the Everton sweet. The goalkeeper’s shirt is also available to purchase in short sleeves.
The shorts are also emerald green and feature the two hummel chevrons down the side.
All kits are produced using the same Eco 8 process as previous Everton hummel kits. Each jersey is made from eight bottles, and uses minimal water in the dying process, further supporting the Club’s continued commitment to its Everton for Change environmental campaign.
Richard Kenyon, Director of Communications, Revenue and International Growth, said: “I’m sure Evertonians everywhere will appreciate this year’s home kit, which merges traditional elements of our brand with a modern styling.
“We’ve used our updated tower icon more extensively across the club over the last few months so it’s great to see it form part of the pattern within our latest home kit.
“It’s another strong kit, delivered by our technical partner hummel, and we thank them for their hard work in creating it and look forward to revealing our away and third kits with them later this summer.”
Allan Vad Nielsen, CEO of hummel, added: “After two record-breaking seasons in terms of kits, we have really set the bar high for ourselves this year.
“We wanted to come up with something truly special and unique for all the passionate Evertonians across the world – and that’s exactly why we decided to incorporate the famous Prince Rupert’s tower as part of the 2022/23 Everton home jersey.
“We hope that the fans will be as excited as we are, and we can’t wait to share great memories together at Goodison Park wearing the new jersey.”

Everton winger Anthony Gordon, who took part in the photoshoot for the new kit, said: “I love it and really like the fact hummel have gone for a clean, fresh look, with the accent on the tower in the overall design.
“The kit looks and feels great and I’m sure it’ll be really popular with Evertonians everywhere.”
Everton Women’s midfielder Hanna Bennison added: “I really liked the look and feel of last season’s hummel kits and this year’s are even better.
“The home kit is clean, simple and very Everton and I love the design work incorporating the tower. I’m sure it will be really successful with our female supporters.”
