Rodriguez Off To Turkey?

James Rodriguez is yet again being linked to a move to Istanbul Basaksehir. The Colombian has been linked to a move away from Goodison Park the minute Carlo Ancelotti left the blues back in June this year.

Real Madrid, AC Milan, Porto and even a mad link to Newcastle United have all been spoken about in the media, but since the Transfer Window slammed shut last week moves to Russia and Turkey have come about with Istanbul Basaksehir who currently sit 2nd bottom of the Süper Lig. Foot Mercato are the latest source to link James with a move away to Basaksehir.

Other sources in Colombia and England have stated though that if any move were to happen that Everton would have to pay half of the Colombian. Any move would have to happen fast though with the Turkish Transfer Window ending on the 8th of September

Our thoughts;

James Rodriguez looks likely to stay at Goodison Park at least until January 2022. I think it will be very unlikely that any loan move with happen this late into the window and with finances being an issue. Hopefully James and Rafa Benitez can put aside any issues that they have with one another for the best of Everton.
