Idrissa Gana Gueye and Oumar Niasse have been called up to the Senegal squad for their friendly matches this month. This is the first time Oumar Niasse has been called up to the national team since 28th May 2016.
Ramiro Funes mori is one of the number of centre backs who has been linked with a move to Lazio. Funes mori who has recently just returned from a lengthy injury, he has played in 2 matches for the under 23’s recently and seems to be eager to be back in the first team squad.
Mason Holgate avoids punishment from the football association for the alleged homophobic tweets he posted on twitter in 2012 and 2013. He is likely to receive a written warning about his future conduct.
Cenk Tosun believes that attacking talent will boost his game. He scored his first goal for Everton against Burnley on Saturday. He has been interviews today and here’s what he has had to say – “We have a lot of quality players up front,” Tosun said. “Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Wayne Rooney, Oumar Niasse, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yannick Bolasie – a lot of players.
“It’s great for me to play with them and when I get to know them fully it will be better still. The Dubai camp was good for me, getting to know my new teammates and it will be even better for me going forward.
“I know the players around me and the coaches here will improve my game, so I will get better, too, I believe.
“Spending every day around the guys means that we know one another better now. I’ve settled in very well and I have the support from my teammates, the manager and his coaching staff.”
Finally we have a birthday today in Jordan Pickford who turns 24 today, he has made some great saves this season and is so far proving to be one of our better signings from the summer. Happy Birthday Jord!
