Billy Crellin- Accrington Stanley- 18th out of 24

Crellin was without a game this week, with the impact of Storm Bert resulting in Accrington’s clash against Bradford City being postponed.

The Reds now turn their attention to the FA Cup, as they host Swindon Town on Saturday.

 

Jenson Metcalfe- Chesterfield- 8th out of 24

Metcalfe was ruled out of the Spireites’ late win at home to Barrow, with the midfielder expected to be side-lined with a foot injury until the new year.

Chesterfield travel to Exeter City next.

 

Francis Okoronkwo- Salford City- 15th out of 18

Salford were another club to fall victim to the weather, with their game against Bromley cancelled due to the conditions.

Okoronkwo will now gear up to face Cheltenham Town in FA Cup action this weekend.

 

League One:

Tyler Onyango- Stockport County- 4th out of 24

Onyango is the second loanee to be enduring a spell on the treatment table, after the 21-year-old picked up a knock in early November.

Stockport continued their good form in his absence, though, securing three points at Burton Albion to pile the pressure on heavy-spending Birmingham City.

Dave Challinor’s side take on Brackley Town in the FA Cup next, looking to book their place in the third round.

 

Harry Tyrer- Blackpool- 16th out of 24

Goalkeeper Harry Tyrer Out On Loan At Blackpool

Tyrer was back in Steve Bruce’s XI for the first time in four league games, keeping a clean sheet as Blackpool beat Bristol Rovers 2-0.

Victory saw the away side end an eight-game winless run, with the goalkeeper putting in a solid display on his return to the team.

The Seasiders welcome Birmingham in the FA Cup on Saturday.

 

Championship:

Mason Holgate- West Bromwich Albion- 7th out of 24

Holgate continued his strong start at the Baggies, opening the scoring against Norwich City before backing up his goal with a clean sheet at high-flying Sunderland.

The defender got on the scoresheet after 11 minutes, turning home with a deft touch from close range- his first goal since May 2022.

Despite the impressive form of the 28-year-old, Carlos Corberan’s side drop outside the play-off spots after seven draws in eight games.

West Brom are away to Preston North End next.

 

Scottish Premiership:

Elijah Campbell- Ross County- 8th out of 12

Campbell appeared as a substitute in Ross County’s 2-1 home win over Motherwell, following his England u20 matches during the international break.

The defender was introduced at half-time with the scores level.

John Doolan’s side face their biggest test yet this weekend, as a trip to Celtic Park beckons.

 

Ligue 1:

Neal Maupay- Marseille- 3rd out of 18

Maupay played a key role in Marseille’s 3-1 away defeat of Lens, turning provider for two goals.

The Frenchman laid on assists for Valentin Rongier and Luis Henrique, as the visitors recorded a comfortable win.

They take on AS Monaco on Sunday.

 

Challenger Pro League:

Reece Welch- Deinze- 9th out of 16

Welch wasn’t in the squad for Deinze’s 3-0 loss to Francs Borais, as rumours of a recall intensify.

The defender has found playing time tough in Belgium, featuring on just three occasions for Hans Somers’ team.
