Campbell’s Vale upset! Heath and Morgan limp off injured!

Eli Campbell Port Vale

League One:

Martin Sherif/Elijah Campbell- Port Vale- 24th out of 24

Campbell came off the bench in Port Vale’s shock FA Cup triumph over Sunderland, as Jon Brady’s side booked their place in the quarter-finals.

The full back was brought on in the 81st minute as Vale saw off The Black Cats to set up an away trip to Chelsea in the next round, whilst Sherif missed the game through injury.

Campbell then started a 2-0 defeat against Bradford City in midweek, and will hope to keep his place at home to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Roman Dixon- Stockport County- 5th out of 24

Dixon was without a game due to the FA Cup schedule, however Onyango’s season was confirmed to be over due to injury.

The 22-year-old played 13 times, and leaves with Stockport in fifth place.

League Two:

Isaac Heath- Accrington Stanley- 15th out of 24

Heath was forced to leave the pitch after 35 minutes of Accrington’s 1-1 home draw with Cambridge United having sustained an injury.

The winger has played 33 times for The Reds in an impressive season to date, but he’s now likely to miss out as Stanley look to end their four-game winless run at Barrow on Saturday.

National League North:

Fraser Barnsley- Marine- 12th out of 24

Barnsley played the full 90 minutes in Marine’s back-to-back losses against King’s Lynn and Macclesfield, as The Lilywhites slid to 12th.

Bobby Grant’s side host Worksop Town next, hoping to get back to winning ways.

George Pickford- Southport- 16th out of 24

Pickford returned to Southport after being recalled by Everton, however the goalkeeper is yet to start a game since going back to Haig Avenue.

The 19-year-old impressed in his initial three games for The Sandgrounders, but now finds himself on the bench due to the form of Chris Renshaw.

Southport are at home to Oxford City on Saturday.

Scottish Championship:

George Finney- Ayr United- 5th out of 10

Finney was selected at right-back for Ayr’s late 2-1 home defeat to Queen’s Park on Tuesday.

The defender completed the full match, and faces the same opposition this weekend.

Championnat National 2:

George Morgan- AS Cannes- 2nd out of 16

Morgan limped off after 36 minutes in Cannes’ 3-1 win against FC Limonest, as Les Dragons rose to second.

The Wales Youth international was handed his second consecutive start in the fixture, but is now a doubt to be fit for their trip to GFA Rumilly Vallieres on Saturday.

1 Liga:

Jack Patterson- LSK Lodz- 9th out of 18

Patterson wasn’t in the squad for Lodz’s 1-0 win at Polonia Warsaw, as the 20-year-old awaits his debut in men’s football.

Grzegorz Szoka’s side are at home to Odra Opole next.
