Former Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell is currently training with the Everton U23 squad as he looks to build fitness for the new season.
Rodwell left Everton in 2012 after spending 14 years at the club – for Manchester City.
Things didn’t work out for Jack at City and so he was shipped off to the Black Cats in 2014 and signed a four year deal – which just came to an end.
Jack was on trial at fellow Premier League club Watford, but it seems he did not get offered a contract at the end of the trial.
Which leaves him here, back where he started.
