Everton have rejected an offer from Barnsley for Everton youngster Joe Williams.
Williams, 21, has been on loan at Barnsley since the start of the season and has won the EFL Goal of the Month trophy. Barnsley want to make this loan deal a permanent deal – and clearly Everton value Williams highly – as they reject the offer.
This story comes from the reliable source of Sky Sports News, and the Liverpool Echo, with the latter claiming the offer was worth £1 million.
The rejection appears odd, as Williams has never made an appearance for the Toffees – therefore it must be because Everton are looking for a higher offer.
The deal appears likely to happen either in this window or in the summer.
