Everton Striker Youssef Chermiti looks set to leave the club on loan for the season. According to Paul Joyce Everton are currently in talks with Scottish Football Giants Rangers over a season long loan move.

David Moyes confirmed after Everton’s 2-0 win against Mansfield Town in the Carabao Cup that the Portuguese 21 year old Striker was left out of the squad due to opportunities of leaving and getting more consistent football.

Chermiti joined the blues in the Summer of 2023 for a fee of €12.5 million and has played 24 games for the toffees and hasn’t registered a goal or assist. Chermiti did suffer a couple of injuries last season which overall made him miss 24 games for the blues.

Rangers themselves are in turmoil under new manager Russell Martin, sitting 7th in the SPL. Rangers were knocked out of the Champions League after suffering a heavy 9-1 aggregate defeat to Club Brugge, recently losing 6-0 away from Ibrox.

Toffee Blues says;

5/5 – Chermiti is in need of a loan move for consistent minutes, sitting on the Everton bench providing cover for Beto and Thierno Barry will do him no good for his develoment. While this deal looks like a dead cert to happen I would prefere Chermiti to go out on loan to a team in the Championship and one that looks to have a positive atmosphere. If Chermiti is to complete a move to Rangers he will be under a lot of pressure to perform. Good luck Youssef
