Chelsea reopen talks with Everton for Ross Barkley

Chelsea have apparently reopened talks with Everton for the transfer of midfielder Ross Barkley according to The Times journalist Paul Joyce

Barkley previously had a medical at Chelsea, but this fell through after he decided not to move until he was fit.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to get the main parts of the deal agreed as early as tonight, after Barkley returned to full training.

The Daily Mail earlier today reported that the fee offered by Chelsea is close to £15 million, which is considerably less than the £30 million Chelsea offered in the summer.

Ross is out of contract in the summer and instead of waiting until he is a free agent, Chelsea have decided to act now, before rivals like Tottenham pounce to sign him.

It’s very likely that Chelsea will be Ross’ destination especially after the saga last summer.
