We have waved goodbye to September, a very frustraing month at Everton on the pitch. Four games, two draws and two defeats, a Carabao Cup exit and a Merseyside Derby defeat. Makes for like a depressing month doesn’t it? Still there are some positive performances to highlight and our 20 contributors at The Toffee Blues have got their votes in.
3rd Place – Jordan Pickford, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish – 1 vote each

A lovely trio. Pickford, Dewsbury-Hall and Grealish probably all deserve some form of recognition as all have put in fairly consistent performances throughout the month of September. Perhaps not any Man of the Match performances but performances that have been a bright light in a pretty dull month for the blues overall. Pickford picking up another clean sheet in the 0-0 draw against Villa, Dewsbury-Hall looking like Everton’s key cog in midfield and Grealish who has been a little more quiet than his performances in August but still eaisly looks like the most magical player on the pitch.
2nd Place – James Garner – 4 votes

Everton’s marmite player, James Garner. Overall a strong start to the season for Jimmy Garner, shifts at Left Back and a couple of standout performances in Midfield have raised the eyebrows of some blues as some believe we are finally seeing the James Garner that Everton signed back in 2023. David Moyes has even spoke about a potential England call-up, can it happen? If he starts performing even better, never say never.
1st Place – Michael Vincent Keane – 13 votes

Here he is. Who would of thought it? It looked all but certain after the win against Southampton at Goodison that Michael Keane was waving goodbye to the club. Here we are months later and Michael Keane has probably been Everton’s most consistent player this season. Strong in defence and has looked like Everton’s most dangerous goal threat all month, after many attempts finally hitting the back of the net against West Ham United in the 1-1 draw at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Keane’s form has been that impressive it has begged the question, ‘When Branthwaite is fit can you drop him?’. I’m not sure myself but it is great to see Keane’s confidence sky high so when he needs to step in and play he is proving he can be trusted.
