Sherif is back! Armstrong makes first start! Onyango assist!

Championship:

Harrison Armstrong- Preston North End- 6th out of 24

Armstrong made his first start for Preston in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw at Hull City, playing 81 minutes for Paul Heckingbottom’s side.

The Lilywhites had a two-goal cushion at the break, before allowing their lead to slip in the second half.

Preston welcome Charlton Athletic to Deepdale next.

League One:

Francis Okoronkwo- Lincoln City- 3rd out of 24

Okoronkwo was an unused substitute in Lincoln’s 3-0 win over Peterborough United, before playing 65 minutes in The Imps’ midweek EFL Trophy triumph over Manchester United u21’s.

The forward faces Exeter City on Saturday, still searching for his first goal of the season.

Martin Sherif- Rotherham United- 21st out of 24

Sherif missed Rotherham’s 2-1 defeat at Mansfield Town, with the striker still sidelined from an injury picked up in late August.

The 19-year-old scored on his returned to action in Rotherham United’s 2-2 draw against Bradford City. Sherif came off the bench in the second half and scored within 4 minutes of his return.

 

Tyler Onyango- Stockport County- 7th out of 24

Onyango registered an assist in Stockport’s 1-1 draw with Reading, with the loanee racking up 90 minutes for Dave Challinor’s side.

The defender set up Kyle Wooton’s goal on 22 minutes, heading into the path of the forward who turned home from close range.

The Hatters failed to see out victory though, and travel to Huddersfield Town this Saturday looking to go one better.

 

League Two:

Isaac Heath- Accrington Stanley- 19th out of 24

Heath featured in Stanley’s 2-1 loss to Walsall, as The Reds failed to extend their run of back-to-back wins.

The winger returns to action this weekend, away to Barnet.

 

National League North:

Fraser Barnsley- Marine- 18th out of 24

Barnsley continued his run between the sticks last Saturday, as Marine bowed out of the FA Cup with a 3-2 defeat at home to Buxton.

The Mariners exited the competition in the Third Qualifying Round, after a late turnaround saw the visitors run out winners.

The goalkeeper faces Macclesfield away next, looking to build on an individually impressive start to his senior career.
