Championship:
Harrison Armstrong- Preston North End- 10th out of 24
Armstrong played in both of Preston’s fixtures this week, as Paul Heckingbottom’s side dropped out of the play-offs after losing against West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City.
The midfielder played 69 minutes at The Hawthorns in a 2-1 defeat, before completing the full 90 minutes in Tuesday’s night 1-0 home defeat to Blues.
The Lilywhites host Sheffield United next.
League One:
Francis Okoronkwo- Lincoln City- 6th out of 24
Okoronkwo appeared as an 81st minute substitute in Lincoln’s 1-0 home win over Stevenage.
Victory for The Imps leaves them one point behind the automatic promotion spots after an impressive start to the campaign.
The winger travels to Leyton Orient on Saturday, still on the hunt for his first goal of the season.
Martin Sherif- Rotherham United- 16th out of 24
Sherif was missing from Matt Hamshaw’s matchday squad last week, as the forward continues to step up his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Rotherham made it back-to-back wins in the loanee’s absence, defeating Leyton Orient on home turf to rise out of the relegation zone.
The Millers face local rivals Barnsley at Oakdale next.
Tyler Onyango- Stockport County- 5th out of 24
Onyango returned from suspension to play the full 90 minutes in Stockport’s 1-0 home win against Exeter City.
The 22-year-old was deployed at right wing-back, as The Hatters closed the gap between themselves and league leaders Cardiff City to one point.
County face Port Vale on Saturday, looking to go top.
League Two:
Isaac Heath- Accrington Stanley- 20th out of 24
Heath continued his impressive start to senior football, with the winger playing a pivotal role in Stanley’s 4-0 thrashing of Swindon Town.
The 20-year-old bagged a goal and an assist to help The Reds end a four-game losing run, netting his second of the season on 79 minutes with a coolly slotted finish past Conor Ripley.
Heath also laid on Paddy Madden’s second after winning the ball back in the final third, in a fine individual performance for the loanee.
Accrington make the short trip to Fleetwood Town this weekend, hoping to build on Saturday’s performance.
National League North:
Fraser Barnsley and Odin Samuels-Smith – Marine- 11th out of 24
Barnsley was awarded Player of the Match in Marine’s 2-1 away win over Worksop Town, the second time the ‘keeper has received the accolade in four appearances.
The 20-year-old gained 49% of the votes on the club’s X account, with supporters raving over his performance.
The Mariner’s head to Scarborough Athletic next.
Samuels-Smith made his debut for Marine in the away win after joining on a short term loan last week. Samuels-Smith completed an 80 minute shift at Left Back before being subbed.
North West Counties:
Goodness Gospel-Eze- Burscough- 5th out of 24
Gospel-Eze continued his fine start to life at Burscough, keeping back-to-back clean sheets against Billingham Synthonia and Euxton Villa this week.
The goalkeeper has recorded seven shutouts in 16 appearances for The Linnets in his first loan spell away from Everton.
Burscough are away to West Didsbury & Chorlton on Saturday.
