Everton have today been linked to Middlesbrough Left Back Matt Targett ahead of a potential move this Summer according to TEAMTalk
The 30 year old is currently on loan to the Championship side sitting 5th in the table but fighting for an automatic promotion place back into the Premier League. Targett is on loan from Newcastle United after falling down the pecking order at the Magpies.
The report states that fellow Premier League side Leeds United also have an interest in Targett but Middlesbrough are keen to keep him in the North East but any permanent move is likely to hinge on if they can secure promotion to the Premier League.

Left Back is a position that Everton fans have been wanting to see get improved for some time after lackluster performances from Vitalii Mykolenko and the admission of Adam Aznou. Is Matt Targett a better player than our Ukrainian? I don’t think so but he is an attacking full back with a vast amount of experience in the League and with the potential of European football next season there is potential that Moyes might want to bulk out his squad. Never say never I guess
