League One:
Francis Okoronkwo- Doncaster Rovers- 23rd out of 24
Okoronkwo made the switch from Lincoln City to Doncaster Rovers last week, having struggled for game time at Sincil Bank.
The forward’s move sees him join a Rovers side winless in their last six League One matches and fighting for survival under Grant McCann.
The 20-year-old made his debut on Saturday in Donny’s 3-2 FA Cup defeat to Southampton, before appearing as an 81st minute substitute as they booked their place in the Quarter-Finals of the EFL Trophy after a 3-1 win over Fleetwood Town.
Okoronkwo travels to AFC Wimbledon next in search of a first goal for his new club.
Tyler Onyango- Stockport County- 4th out of 24
Onyango was absent from Stockport’s successful week, as The Hatters recorded last-gasp victories in both the league and the cup.
Dave Challinor’s side host Rotherham United on Saturday, looking to tighten their grip on the play-off spots.
League Two:
Isaac Heath- Accrington Stanley- 14th out of 24
Heath was given a free week after Accrington’s clash with Barnet was postponed.
The winger has been in red-hot form for Stanley of late, and The Reds face MK Dons next hoping to extend their three-game winning run.
National League North:
Fraser Barnsley/Odin Samuels-Smith- Marine- 10th out of 24
Barnsley was the hero in Marine’s FA Trophy shootout win over Gloucester City, as The Lilywhites progressed to the competition’s last 16 for the first time in 26 years.
The ‘keeper saved two penalties to set up a trip to Tamworth in the next round.
Samuels-Smith played his final game for The Mariners against Gloucester, with the defender being recalled by Everton after 13 appearances in a successful loan spell.
Marine Manager Bobby Grant had this to say on Odin Samuels-Smith;
“He’s been unbelievable, his one-on-one defending – there’s not many better than him that I’ve seen and the kid deserves to have a career – and he will.
“He’s unbelievable at football but he’s an unbelievable person, so respectful, he’ll go have a career but I’m just delighted he come to us and we wish him all the best moving forward.”
North West Counties:
Goodness Gospel-Eze- Burscough- 5th out of 24
Gospel-Eze enjoyed a fine week at Burscough, as The Linnets jumped into the play-off spots after back-to-back wins.
The 17-year-old stopper kept his eleventh clean sheet of the season away to Isle of Man on Saturday, before keeping goal in David Dempsey’s side’s 5-2 derby win over South Liverpool.
Burscough travel to Cheadle Town next.
Scottish Championship:
George Finney- Ayr United- 4th out of 10
Finney joined Ayr United last week on his first senior loan spell. The young Right Back made a brilliant start to life up in Scotland scoring a fine volley on his debut in Ayr United’s 4-1 win against Stranraer in the Scottish Challenge Cup
The 18-year-old full back links up with Scott Brown’s side to the end of the season, with the club unbeaten in their last four.
Ayr are away to Dundee United in the Scottish Cup on Saturday.
